Biographie : 

Mingo danse depuis 1948 et Esther depuis 1955.

Depuis 1959, ils forment un couple qui se caractérise par l'harmonie et la précision technique de la danse, qu'accompagnent des mouvements d'une extrême finesse.

Ils sont reconnus dans le monde entier comme de grands maîtres pour l'efficacité de la pédagogie développée par Mingo, qui permet d'apprendre à travers l'improvisation.

Leur connaissance approfondie des mouvements permet de nombreuses combinaisons, qu'on estime à peu près à six cent quarante!

Pendant de nombreuses années ils ont donné sans interruption des cours individuels et collectifs à des professionnels de la danse.

Durant 14 années consécutives ils ont dirigé l'école et la pratique de tango au club General Belgrano dans le quartier de San Telmo à Buenos Aires.

Mingo a également été titulaire de la chaire Style III de l'ancienne université du tango de Buenos Aires.

Esther et lui sont professeurs attachés au secrétariat de la culture de la nation et de la communauté de Buenos Aires.

Ils entretiennent des échanges avec d'autres villes dans le monde. Lors de leurs nombreuses tournées et réunions, ils reçoivent régulièrement des groupes du monde entier.

Ils ont enseigné aux Etats Unis, au Japon, en Espagne, en France, en Suisse, en Allemagne, en Italie, en Angleterre et en Irlande. Ils maintiennent des contacts réguliers avec des Ecoles de Danse au Brésil, et donnent des cours dans les villes de Sao Paulo, Bel Horizonte, Riberon, Prieto, Niteroi, Santos et Río de Janeiro.

Invités en tant que maestros et danseurs, ils ont participé à toutes les éditions des "Rencontres Internationales des Danses de Salon".

En reconnaissance de leur long et brillant travail avec le tango, ils ont reçu de nombreux prix nationaux et internationaux, dont celui tout spécial du "Bandoneon d'or 2000", qui leur a été remis par Solo Tango accompagné de Julia Boca, Susana Rinaldi et Norma Leandro, en reconnaissance de leur grande carrière artistique, de même qu'ils ont reçus les prix de la Radio et de la Télévision du Japon.

En 2005 Esther a fêté ses 50 ans de danse, qui ont été l'occasion d'une célébration au "Für Völkerkunde" Musée de Hambourg (Allemagne), en présence des représentants du consulat argentin. D'autres célébrations ont également eu lieu dans les villes d'Hanovre, de Barcelone et de Dublin.

En juillet 2005, le festival de Sitges a été dédié aux 50 ans de Tango d'Esther Pugliese, occasion durant laquelle on lui a remis le premier prix en or de 18K, ainsi qu'une place commémorative.

Entre novembre et décembre 2005, ils ont participé en tant que maestros au Festival de Monaco et au festival de tango en Bretagne (France).

Mingo started his career in 1948 and Esther in 1955.

From 1959 Esther and Mingo have formed a couple famous for their technical precision and the perfection of their movements as tango dancers.

 

As teachers they are famous all over the world for the excellent and efficacious method devised by Mingo, which enables the person to learn and master the difficulty of “improvisation”.

 

Knoledge of the steps as taught by Mingo allows the person to “mathematically” combine these steps in about 640 ways.

For nearly sixty years Esther and Mingo have taught and continue to teach individually, groups and profecional dancers.

 

For fourteen consecutive years Mingo Pugliese has organized the teaching and “practise” of tango at theClub General Belgranoin the district of San Telmo harbour.

 

Mingo has held the professorship at the “Estilo III” at the tango University of Buenos Aires.

Mingo, with Esther, is professor of the Secretarìade Cultura de la Naciòn and of the autonomous City of Buenos Aires. They also exchange experiences with other professionals world wide and periodically receive these professionals as visitors.

 

They have taught in the U.S.A., Japan, Spain, France, Switzerland, Germany, Italy, England and Ireland.

 

Periodically they have contact with brazilian schools of dancing and give lessons at Sao Paulo, Belo Horizonte, Biberon, Prieto, Niteroi, Santos, Rio de Janeiro.

 

They were invited and participated as professional teachers and dancers at all the editions of the“Encuentro internacional de Danza Salòn”.

 

For their long and succesfull careers as tango dancers, they have received numerous national and international awards.

They received the pretigious award “El Bandoneon de oro 2000” for their highly professional and artistic performance in the “Solo Tango” show, together with Julio Boca, Susana Rinaldi e Norma leandro, and they have also received awards from the japanese Radio and Television.

 

For Esther’s “50 years of dancing”, a celebration was organized at the Fur Volkerkunde Museo de Hamburgo(Germany), in the presence of the Authorities of the Argentinian Consolate. The event was also celebrated in such cities as Hannover, Barcellona and Dublin.

In July 2005, the “Festival de Sitges” was dedicated to Esther Pugliese for her long and highly professional career as tango dancer and she received first prize, of 18 K gold, and a plaque to commemorate the event.

In November and December 2005, Esther and Mingo participated as teachers at the “Tango Festival of Monaco” (Germany) and at the “Bretagna Festival” (France).
